Speed dating is a formalized matchmaking process or dating system whose purpose is to encourage people to meet a large number of new people.

Hm, I think I'd feel highly uncomfortable. I don't think a few minutes is enough to get interested in a person :\ And I believe I won't ever speed date.

What about you? Would you consider speed dating?
What are your thoughts about speed dating?

I don't see how people can go to these and try to start a relationship out of thin air. Sure you might meet someone interesting, but the time they give you isn't really enough to make a good judgment. I'm sure it feels pretty awkward as well.

You'd assume the process would be:

1. Meet.
2. Talk.
3. Move.

And the process moves through a certain amount of people.

When you get done, you meet up with the person you liked the most, or that liked you the most, and you meet/talk some more.

Seems way too simple and easy though.

But, whatever works~

And what should you talk about in that lil amount of time? 0.o quickly tell the person your hobbys and fav dish or something? >.>
I think that speed dating is almost fully based on looks anyway.

Then if multiple people liked you it would be awkward by the end.

Or sad, if no one was interested enough to talk to you again.

I wouldn't at all. I just don't understand why dating has to be so forced these days.

It's supposed to be something that takes time, something special.. At least I don't think it's too popular here, so that's good.

Its a decent idea in concept, however it all depends on those few minutes which can be great or terrible. Its a good, easy way to get a general understanding of people quickly, most likely resulting in at least one possible date, but it can easily be a failure.
I would never really be bothered with it, only because it seems unnecessary to go to this length to find a date.
